I’m looking for some advice on choosing the right battery for my trolling motor. My current battery doesn’t seem to hold a charge for very long, especially after several hours on the water. I mainly use my boat for fishing trips and usually spend most of the day moving between different spots.
I’m considering replacing it with a new trolling motor battery, but I’m unsure whether I should go with AGM, lithium, or a traditional lead-acid option. How much difference does battery capacity and weight make in real-world use?
Also, are there any brands or specifications experienced boat owners recommend for longer runtime and better reliability?
