When and How Should I Calibrate My Windshield Cameras?

Hi everyone,

I recently had my windshield replaced after a minor accident, and I’ve been reading about windshield calibration, especially for vehicles with ADAS like lane departure warning and adaptive cruise control.

I’m a bit confused about when calibration is actually necessary. Does every windshield replacement require it?

Also, what’s the difference between static and dynamic calibration, and can it be done at home or only at a dealership or qualified shop?

Any tips on ensuring the sensors are aligned correctly or signs that calibration hasn’t been done right would be really helpful.
