A modest proposal for a new model

A modest suggestion for another Model Y variant. Having experience with my two current Model Ys I wish to offer some ideas to Tesla for a variant of the new YL model based on my experience with the Ys. Aimed at older drivers needs and desires.

As an older driver I do not find a need the third-row seats, but the additional space for carry capacity is desirable to me and I would think others would also find it useful, I do use my Ys as SUVs.

I absolutely would keep the second row captains seats (and suggest making them optionally available in the standard WB Y) They add a bit of luxury for second row passengers and two rear seats is all I need. Moving these seats back. say six inches. and adding the thigh supports from the front seats would make the L take on new meaning, as in the Jaguar L series or other Euro cars with an L designation.

A somewhat larger rear screen could be added at minimal cost for use by rear seat passengers. We older folk do not have the sight of a 30 year old.

Slightly better heat/air vents to the rear are also advisable (if they are not already there in the L).

How much more would you be willing to pay for this variant. Anything unique to this version would be expensive. The larger rear screen would probably be welcome for all models, although those of us who infrequently have back seat passengers largely don't care about those back seat enhancements. I have a Y Premium RWD on order. Frankly the rear screen IMO is a waste of money, and the occasions we might have someone riding there would just be more to have to explain to those passengers--in addition to how to get to the emergency door releases!
My point. Everyone has some ideas for changes to fit their use of the car. I'd get rid of the glass roof, for example. If the Standard RWD had the battery that's in the Premium, I'd probably pick that over the Premium. More versions of the base car you have mean fewer of each made, and so they all cost more.
