test driving a used (2022) model Y

I am going to be test driving a used (2022) model Y at a local Toyota dealer. It is capable of FSD and I am wondering if I can subscribe during the extended test drive (3 days). I realize I will have to pay full amount, but just wondering if it is possible to subscribe anyway. If so, how do I go about it?

Also, will I be able to use superchargers, as I do not have an account setup.

It is highly unlikely that you will be able to subscribe to Full Self-Driving (FSD) or use the Tesla Supercharger network during a 3-day test drive because the car is not linked to your personal Tesla account.

You cannot subscribe to FSD because the car is currently owned by the Toyota dealership. Tesla only allows the registered owner to purchase software upgrades.

You will need a Tesla account with a linked payment method to use a Supercharger. Since you don't have one set up and the car isn't linked to you, you won't be able to charge this way.

Your best option is to:
  1. Ask the Toyota dealer to fully charge the vehicle before your test drive.
  2. Inquire if they have any specific charging instructions or options available for you during the loan period.

Thanks! How can I make sure the vehicle is capable of FSD before purchasing it?

I will install Tesla app on my phone for charging.

Also, I do not have access to a level 2 charger, so can't test the battery condition using the built in test. According to Google AI, the vehicle should be able to drive between 180 - 220 miles with a full charge, and still have 20% remaining. Would this be an acceptable method to test the battery condition?
